M&A and Private Equity
I help represent lower middle market companies in transition successfully execute purchase or sale transactions. We craft and facilitate comprehensive M&A processes that include pre-transaction planning and valuation advisory all the way through deal structuring, negotiations and closing. Similar to our firm’s focus, my time is largely spent with private, closely-held companies, many of which are family-owned and have unique goals and objectives. My investment banking background has been dovetailed with my experience in private equity industry. Prior to my tenure at BaldwinClarke, I spent over 10 years working at a niche private equity fund that focused on the financial services sector.
Valuations
As part of our firm’s valuation platform, I work regularly with our clients and BaldwinClarke’s credentialed appraisers to provide formal business valuations for a wide range of financial and corporate planning purposes. Our appraisal services are designed to work closely with our clients to ensure our understanding and deliverables are well-suited and can be utilized to provide defensible documentation for estate, gifting, and compensation initiatives. I also often work with our firm’s valuation clients from a strategic perspective, helping to provide insight and direction to entrepreneurs and family-run businesses as to the value of their companies in various contexts.
